Fine. But can someone explain to me why NYT can't scale back the staff, cut the print product, and produce Play as an online-only magazine four times a year? Maybe there just isn't any money for staff, I don't know. But if the editor was willing to ditch the print side and still do the journalism, I'd still be reading.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Anyway, back to the tone of blockquoted friend: Oh noes!
