Jordan simply would not have let Magic win the game.

Re: Michael Jordan And Magic Johnson: The Proposed One-On-One Pay-Per-View Game

I don't know man, Magic Johnson averaged 19.5 points a game for his career. It's not like he had no offensive skill. And sure, he was a point guard in the truest sense, but he was also 6' 9".

I just see him being able to use his finesse and height against Jordan. I don't see MJ "killing" him. I think it would be close.
Re: Michael Jordan And Magic Johnson: The Proposed One-On-One Pay-Per-View Game

Michael would have killed Magic. Magic's genius came from running the game within a five-on-five setting. He was the best in the world at it. But in terms of one-on-one offense and defense, Jordan is the best there ever was. Jordan wins hands down.

Re: Michael Jordan And Magic Johnson: The Proposed One-On-One Pay-Per-View Game

I may be wrong, but from what I remember about this, wasn't Isiah Thomas behind keeping this from happening? He was such a jealous scumbag that he wasn't involved in this event that I thought he led (maybe quietly) the campaign to stop this event. As the president of the Players Association, he could have used his "powers" to do so. You guys have time to divulge further into this?
